The court obliges an employee to pay a fine of 2,000 dirhams for photographing a teacher.

Because of the employee's photographing of a teacher, the court has ordered the employee to pay a fine of two thousand dirhams because he photographed a teacher.

A school employee was taken to court in Dubai and fined two thousand dirhams for snapping and sharing an illegal photograph of a female instructor who was caught sleeping on campus.

The event took place at a private school during a break between classes, and the teacher was seen sleeping off in the teachers' lounge. Photographic evidence documented the incident.

The accused, a coworker of the teacher and an administrator at the school, allegedly took advantage of the potentially embarrassing scenario and used a mobile phone to take photographs of the teacher without her knowledge. In the photograph, it was possible to make out the instructor's face.

After that, the school's management received the photograph via the messaging app WhatsApp.

The teacher filed a complaint alleging a violation of privacy, leading to legal action against the individual. The female worker justified her action by stating it was part of her job.

A court in Dubai found the female school employee guilty of violating the teacher's right to privacy, as reported in the Arabic newspaper Emarat Al Youm on Saturday. The court, displaying leniency, punished her with a fine of Dh2,000.
