Baker McKenzie, a global legal business, announced on Thursday that it has amended its maternity and paternity leave policies for its employees. The modification includes extended leave for both mothers and fathers.

The corporation has announced that it will provide mothers with up to 52 weeks of leave, equivalent to 364 days, and will fully pay 26 weeks of leave, or 182 days. AdFurthermore, fathers are eligible for an extended paternity leave, lasting up to six weeks (42 days), during which they will receive full pay. addition to that, there are extra perks associated with parental leave.

Those mothers who have completed at least one year of continuous service with the legal company are eligible to receive the new coverage.

These days can be utilized indefinitely or intermittently at any point during the six-month period. Female employees are required to work just half of their regular working hours for the first twenty-four working days after they resume work, provided that the job profile does not permit them to work from home.

Employees of the federal government in the United Arab Emirates are eligible for a total of sixty days off from work, in addition to the statutory maternity leave of forty-five calendar days. New mothers also receive two 30-minute nursing pauses until their child turns two.
