The Blue Visa, a new visa for citizens of the United Arab Emirates, is available.

The United Arab Emirates has announced a new 10-year Blue Residency visa, which includes instructions on how to apply and eligibility requirements.

The UAE Blue Visa is a new visa available for UAE residents.

Among the fields that are applicable are improving the quality of the air and developing environmentally friendly technology.

Environmental activists will be able to apply for permanent residency in the United Arab Emirates. The 10-year visa, known as "Blue Residency," will be available to those who have made "exceptional contributions and efforts" in the field of environmental protection.

This includes both projects related to sustainability within and outside of the UAE.

Who is eligible for the UAE Blue Visa?

Those who are advocates for environmental action, such as members of multinational enterprises, groups, and non-governmental organizations; recipients of worldwide awards; and "distinguished" campaigners and scholars in environmental activity, will be eligible to receive the Blue Residency.

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security has extended an invitation to those who are eligible to submit their applications through the agency. There is also the possibility that relevant authorities will nominate people for long-term residency.

As he presided over a meeting of the Cabinet on Wednesday, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, stated that "the sustainability of our economy has become linked to the sustainability of our environment."

The country has initiated a number of activities to commemorate 2024 as the year of sustainability, and the new residency system is one of those projects. The nation extended its commitment to sustainability until 2024, following the dominance of green themes in the previous year. At that time, the nation extended an invitation to its citizens to participate in the collective efforts to adopt sustainable practices.

On average, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) offers residency visas that are good for a period of two years. The country launched Golden Visas, a 10-year residency program, in 2019. A number of different types of people, including investors, entrepreneurs, scientists, excellent students and graduates, and humanitarian pioneers, are eligible for these visas. It was three years later when the nation announced that it would be granting green visas, which are residency permits that are valid for five years, to talented professionals, freelancers, investors, and entrepreneurs.
