Free visas for 48 hours are offered by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, and Customs and Ports Security in the United Arab Emirates. The authority issues two types of transit visas to enter the country, the first is for 48 hours and is completely free, and the second is a 96-hour visa for only 50 dirhams.

To obtain a transit visa, the applicant must have a passport or travel document with a validity of at least three months, a self-portrait on a white background and a booking of an onward ticket to a third destination, other than the destination from which it comes.

Apply for a free entry visa to the UAE for 48 hours

For travelers to the United Arab Emirates to apply for a 48 transit visa, the applicant must visit the official website of the International Comparison Program ( or the smart application (ICAUAE),
