Sharjah will schedule free parking appointments in preparation for Eid al-Fitr celebrations in 2024.

For the Eid al-Fitr festivities, Sharjah has announced that parking will be free.

As a result of the authority increasing the number of buses in its fleet to 789, passengers who take the bus in the emirate can anticipate more regular excursions.

The authorities have announced that parking in public spaces in Sharjah will be free on the first, second, and third days of Eid al-Fitr.

When it comes to parking zones that have blue signboards, however, charges will continue to appear. These areas are subject to fees every day of the week, including Fridays and holidays that are observed by the official government.

The director-general of Sharjah City Municipality, Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, confirmed the free parking hours when he was providing a briefing on the preparations that the emirate is making for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

The State Road Transportation Authority (SRTA) has announced that from April 9 to April 12, a total of 789 intercity buses will be carrying passengers, bringing the total number of daily journeys to 6,330.

To ensure a secure and enjoyable experience for passengers during Eid, intercity passenger transfers will begin at Jubail Station for all routes between 3.45 am and 12.30 am overnight.

The designated Route 203 will transport passengers between Sharjah and Muscat, Oman, twice a day, at 6.30 in the morning and 4 in the afternoon. For those interested in purchasing tickets, the Amman Telecom platform or the outlet located at Jubail Bus Station are both viable options.

The Sharjah City Municipality has assigned 43 teams to monitor establishments and leisure locations to ensure compliance with the legislation. According to Al Tunaiji, inspectors will be searching through popular locations such as parks, beaches, restaurants, bakeries, salons, and barbershops.

In order to report any infractions or observations, the local civic authority requested that the general public call its hotline, which is available around the clock at 993.
