United Arab Emirates decision to implement new traffic restrictions, new offences, and fines of up to 2,000 dirhams for everyone who is currently present in the nation.

For driving infractions, motorists in the United Arab Emirates can now face fines of up to Dh2,000 if they are caught behind the wheel. According to a tweet that was posted by the Ministry of the Interior, the "new additions" have been developed with the purpose of boosting safety, particularly in instances requiring emergency caused by wet and unexpected weather conditions. In particular, the tweet states that the "new additions" have been designed with the intention of enhancing safety in emergency situations.

>> If you drive over flooded valleys, regardless of how dangerous they are, you will receive a fine of Dh2,000, 23 demerit points, and a 60-day car impoundment.

>> Preventing the appropriate authorities from regulating traffic; impeding the movement of emergency medical services and rescue vehicles in the event of an emergency, disaster, or crisis; or driving through flooded valleys: In addition to a Dh1,000 fine and four demerit points, the car will be impounded for sixty days.

It is not uncommon for citizens of the nation to go to mountainous regions in order to take advantage of the beautiful weather that prevails there while it rains in the lowlands. However, in the past, various warnings have been issued to emphasise the rapid flooding that might occur in low-lying regions as a result of floods.

During times of potentially dangerous weather, the authorities in the UAE would typically issue warnings to the local population advising them to avoid valleys and dams. When it rains heavily, the water that runs down the slopes into the lowlands generally floods the valleys very rapidly.

It is standard practise to advise drivers to avoid driving through valleys while it is raining because of the possibility of their vehicles becoming stranded. Because of these recently enacted rules and the associated fines, it is now against the law for locals and visitors to travel to places that are prone to flooding when it is raining.

Many people have been left stranded due to the heavy rains that have occurred in recent history. When severe storms hit the eastern part of the nation a year ago, several emergency response teams were required to labour nonstop in order to save the lives of hundreds of people.

According to the ministry, the changes that are being made to the traffic legislation are intended to "reinforce existing procedures and emphasise the significance of adhering to instructions and safety requirements."

It is forbidden to enter valleys while it is raining, "despite the danger level," according to Brigadier General Engineer Hussein Al Harthi, who serves as the chairman of the Federal Traffic Council.

"These amendments are introduced alongside other significant and fundamental articles in the law, which urge road users, including drivers and pedestrians, to exercise utmost care and caution (during unstable weather)." "These amendments are introduced alongside other significant and fundamental articles in the law." These revisions are being proposed in conjunction with a number of other important and vital items in the legislation. When behind the wheel, motorists have the obligation to ensure that they do not place themselves or other people in danger. "Users of the road are also expected to refrain from causing others any harm, obstruction, or disruption," the official said. "They are required to obey the traffic laws, signs, and signals; comply with the directions of police officers; remain in their assigned lanes; and follow the guidance of people from the police, traffic, civil defence, emergency, disaster, and crisis management in times of an emergency."
