Urgent.. Statement from "Emirates" and "flydubai" regarding their international flights

Abdallah Shahin - | World

With the resumption of flights to more international destinations on six continents and the addition of new destinations to their global networks since the beginning of this year, data from "Emirates" and "flydubai" showed a continuous increase in the number of destinations within the networks of the two carriers around the world.

The two airlines' combined network of destinations reached 270 locations around the world by the end of the first quarter of 2023. The "Emirates airline" network covered 150 locations, including nine cities for air cargo services, while the "flydubai" network expanded to 120 locations in 52 countries, of which 75 destinations did not previously have direct air connections with Dubai or were not previously served by direct flights from the emirate.

The data shows that since the start of the year, the two airlines have opened and resumed service at 16 terminals, and the airlines intend to increase service on already-existing routes and open new terminals, including those serving seasonal destinations, in the upcoming months.

Emirates Airlines

"Emirates resumed its services to four locations, including Shanghai, in January of last year with two flights per week. In March, the number of flights was gradually increased to daily, and in April of last year, daily service to Beijing was also resumed.

After a break of more than three years, the airline restarted daily service with the "A380" aircraft to Christchurch Airport in March of last year, with daily flights from Dubai to the New Zealand city via Sydney.

Emirates has also resumed service to Tokyo Haneda Airport as of April 2023, bringing to a close the restoration of its Japanese network and giving customers in this market greater options and flexibility.

According to data provided by the carrier, its summer schedule will see an addition of roughly 100 flights per week to 18 already-established destinations within its network of operations in the regions of Europe, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand, as well as East Asia.

Flydubai company

Flydubai, on the other hand, has started and resumed service to 12 new locations, including the Somali capital Mogadishu, which will increase to two flights per day beginning on June 1st, 2023, as well as Milan Bergamo in Italy, Krabi and Pattaya in Thailand, St. Petersburg in Russia, the resumption of NEOM service in Saudi Arabia, and Ashgabat in Turkmenistan.

Additionally, "Flydubai" has started operating two weekly flights from Dubai to Kazakhstan's Shymkent International Airport.

Three more destinations have been added to the airline's network in Kazakhstan with the launch of flights: Almaty, Astana, and Shymkent.

Flydubai and Canadian airlines

In order to provide convenient travel alternatives for its customers travelling between Canada, the Middle East, East Africa, the Indian subcontinent, and South Asia, the company "flydubai" just announced a new cooperation with Canadian airlines.

Customers will be able to travel to these locations with a single ticket thanks to the Canadian company's code being added to seven destinations operated by "flydubai" from Dubai, subject to final regulatory approval.

In a statement, "Flydubai" listed the nine destinations as Bahrain, Dammam, Jeddah, Madinah, Muscat, as well as flights to Colombo and Karachi in the Indian subcontinent.
