"UAE traffic" announces updates and warns of these new violations

The Federal Traffic Council in the UAE has introduced three new violations, warned drivers about them, and added them to the schedule attached to Ministerial Resolution No. 178 of 2017 related to the preventive measures contained in the resolution, which relate to safe conduct during emergencies and severe weather conditions .

Gathering near the places of valleys, torrents and dams during rainy weather:

The new additions to the traffic and traffic law included: Article ( 113) that the violation of "gathering near the places of valleys, torrents, and dams during rainy weather" is a fine of (1000) thousand dirhams and(6) traffic points to be added to the driver's file.

Entering canyons during their flow, regardless of their level of danger:


Article ( 114) stipulates that the violation for "entering the valleys while they are running, regardless of their level of danger" is (2000) two thousand dirhams and(23) traffic points, in addition to booking the vehicle for ( 60) days.

Obstructing the competent authorities from carrying out their work on the organization of traffic and traffic:


Article No. (117) stipulates that the violation of "hindering the competent authorities from carrying out their work on organizing traffic, traffic, ambulance, and rescue during emergencies, disasters, crises, rainfall, and Valley runoff" is a fine of (1000) thousand dirhams and(4) traffic points in addition to the seizure of the vehicle for ( 60) days.
The Ministry of Interior stated that to ensure the safety of the community and preventive measures in promoting a safe road environment, Article (1) of Ministerial Decision No. 130 of 1997 and the executive regulations of federal law No. 21 of 1995 have been updated to amend some provisions of Ministerial Decision No. 178 of 2017 to include, in addition to other important points, points that enhance traffic safety during emergencies, Valley runoff, rainfall and several violations associated with these preventive measures.

She stressed that these amendments aim to strengthen the efforts of the concerned authorities legally and institutionally in their preventive measures taken in times of emergencies, crises, disasters, and the repercussions resulting from heavy rainfall and fluctuations in the weather situation .the additions to the articles of the law came to enhance these measures and emphasize the importance of following the instructions and safety requirements.
The chairman of the Federal Traffic Council, Brigadier Engineer Hussein Al-Harthy, said that efforts are continuing to enhance the successes of the United Arab Emirates and the vision of its wise leadership to be the best and safest place in the world, pointing out that the council is working within institutional efforts based on modernization, development, and response to keep pace with changes.

Al-Harthy added that the amendments included the addition of materials such as not gathering near the running valleys and dams during rainfall and not entering the valleys during their flow, regardless of the level of danger, and not causing hindrance to the competent authorities from carrying out their work on the organization of traffic and traffic, ambulance and rescue during emergencies, disasters, crises, rainfall, and Valley runoff, in addition to adding related violations. He pointed out that all these amendments came along with the important and basic articles in the law that urge road users, drivers of vehicles, and pedestrians to commit to exercise the utmost care and necessary caution and not to endanger their lives or the lives of others, follow the rules and etiquette of traffic, its signs, and signs, implement the instructions of policemen and traffic in their path, implement the instructions of policemen, traffic, Civil Defense and employees of emergency, disaster and crisis bodies in emergency, disaster, and crises and not to harm others, hinder or harass them more than circumstances require and do not allow to avoid it.
