This came during the last meeting of the Emirati Council of Ministers, and this decision applies to people who have spent 20 years in the Emirates, and granted them a financial reward in appreciation of the state for their work and dedication to work in the country. Granting golden residency to imams, preachers and muezzins

The UAE Cabinet decided, following the directives of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to grant golden residency to imams of mosques, preachers, muezzins, preachers, muftis and religious researchers.

However, on the condition that they have completed 20 years at the helm of their work in Dubai, in appreciation of their efforts and societal role in introducing the true religion, and for their contribution to improving values and morals and spreading the values of tolerance that characterize the United Arab Emirates.

What is golden residency in the Emirates?

It grants its holder residency in the country for a period of five or ten years, depending on the category to which the application falls. This update is part of the government's efforts to attract talent and promote sustainable development.

Among the advantages of golden residency in the UAE is the absence of the need for a sponsor within the country, with the possibility of issuing residence permits for family members, including the spouse and children.

In addition to the possibility of family members remaining in the country after the death of the golden residency holder, and the possibility of golden residency holders remaining outside the Emirates for more than six months.

Submit an application to apply for golden residency in the UAE

To submit a candidacy application to obtain golden residency in the country of Anarat, do the following:

1- Fill in the data and attachments, which vary depending on the data.

2- Pay the service implementation fees.

3- The transaction is received by email to the applicant.

4- The application is submitted through 3 channels, which are the official website of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, the Customer Happiness Centers, or the Authority’s extended printing offices.

5- The application will be rejected electronically if it is returned due to deficiencies in the data after 30 days.

6- The application will be rejected if it is returned 3 times due to deficiencies.

7- The issuance fee is refunded only if the application is rejected.

9- An initial electronic approval is issued when applying for candidacy, and it includes the three categories mentioned above, which are talents, workers, specialists, investors in public investments or real estate, entrepreneurs, high school seniors, intentional university graduates, and the first line of defense.

Granting clergy and their families long-term residency in the UAE

It is worth noting that the United Arab Emirates has decided to grant clerics and their families a long-term residence permit lasting 10 years, which will have a positive impact on them and their families.

This makes the UAE a preferred place to live and study for qualified clerics, which confirms the state’s appreciation for the values of tolerance, and giving the highest levels of education to these groups to move forward towards a bright and prosperous future.

If the applicant for the Emirates Golden Visa is outside the United Arab Emirates, a visa application must be submitted for a period of 6 months to complete the golden residency procedures.

While if the applicant is for a golden residency visa in the Emirates, the application is submitted by the person himself or by the nominating party.
