UAE rains cut off internet, electricity, and water services for residents

During the rains in the UAE, residents were unable to access the internet, electricity, or water services.

Due to the severe rains, numerous communities in the UAE do not have access to electricity, internet, or water.

Due to the lack of electricity in a number of neighborhoods, children are unable to participate in online training programs.

Homes in the Emirates are submerged in flood waters.

Numerous residences in the Emirates are currently flooded with floodwaters.

On April 16, the United Arab Emirates recorded the heaviest rainfall in its modern history, forcing residents to deal with flooded homes and pray for their safety. As a result of the torrential rains, a significant number of buildings, villas, and townhouse complexes in Sharjah and Dubai have been without electricity since Tuesday.

Floods in the Emirates cut off electricity and Internet services from residential buildings.

During the flooding that occurred in the Emirates, residential structures lost access to electricity and Internet services.

Because of the flooding that started on Tuesday afternoon, rainwater has been flowing into lifts in certain apartment buildings in the Al Majaz Area of Sharjah. As a result, these apartment blocks have been without electricity and internet access since three in the morning today.

Our building has been without electricity since three o'clock in the morning. As a result, we do not have internet access at the moment.

"Thank goodness, we were able to fill a bucket after the electricity went out because there is no water supply at the moment," said Umm-e-Aiman, a resident of Sharjah.

She continued, "We are unable to travel anywhere due to the flooding throughout the entire region." In the past, in the event that there was a power outage in our buildings, we would either go to shopping centers or drive around in our cars. On the other hand, even that is no longer a possibility. We have a hypermarket that is only fifty meters away, but we are unable to get there since the entire road is flooded, and we are unable to even recognize a footpath that would allow us to travel to the hypermarket.

Poonam Chawla, a resident of Mudon, stated that they have not had access to the internet since Tuesday evening at seven o'clock. We are fortunate enough to have access to energy, but there are some members of the community who do not. The flooded roads prevent us from doing anything, including visiting any coffee shop. We are unable to leave the neighborhood because water is seeping into four-wheel drives; as a result, we are unable to leave the house," said Chawla, who has lived in Dubai for a very long time.
