The government of the United Kingdom announced earlier this year that citizens of Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain will be allowed to visit the country for a fee of only £10 (US$12.4) to apply for a travel visa. The government of the United Kingdom declared this in a statement. Their capacity to travel electronically will allow them to make many visits to the United Kingdom over a two-year period.
Visit visa for Gulf citizens to Britain for £30
According to the statement, the existing electronic visa (EVW) system requires Jordanians to pay $124 (£100) for a visit visa, while Gulf citizens are required to pay $37 (£30) for each visit to the United Kingdom.
As of October 2023, this programme was made available to citizens of Qatar; however, it will not be made available to people of Jordan or any of the other nations that are members of the Gulf Cooperation Council until February 2024.
The statement further mentioned that the new Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) system provides digital approval to travellers who are visiting or transiting through the United Kingdom and do not require a visa for a short stay or who do not currently have another visa for the United Kingdom.
I am equal to four. The British Minister of Immigration, Robert Jenrick, stated that the programme will make travelling to the United Kingdom less difficult and more affordable for citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council and Jordan.
When compared to other international schemes that are comparable, the cost of the ETA will be among the most competitive in the world. In addition, he added that "this modestly increased fee for tourists will make it possible for us to enhance the safety of the borders of the United Kingdom." And ensure the safety of our communities."
Entry visa to the United Kingdom for Arab countries
It is worth noting that this decision benefited Qatari citizens in October 2023, and other Gulf Cooperation Council countries and Jordan are scheduled to benefit from it in February 2024, making their conditions in line with those of other countries.
With this decision, citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries will benefit from the new visa system, along with travelers who hold American and Australian passports, by paying a fee, which will allow them to enter the United Kingdom several times over the course of two years at no additional cost.
