These recent decisions from the United Kingdom government allow additional commercial activities, through flexible visas and remote work opportunities in the United Kingdom, in accordance with the updated immigration rules of the British government.
new visa rules in Britain
Remote working is now permitted for an overseas employer while on a UK tourist visa, as long as tourism, family visits, or other non-work activities remain accessible for your primary purpose. Remote employment must have a direct connection to your job obligations overseas.
Client work is on the list: Visiting professionals who have 'client work' as part of their overseas role can now participate in specific activities relating to UK clients, subject to certain conditions, such as having an employer in both the UK and overseas branches, and client work is a small part of their job abroad and is required for the project or work in the UK branch.
Scientists, researchers, and academics may undertake research in the UK under the new visitor visa restrictions, with the exception of academics who seek for a 12-month guest visa.
Lawyers get more flexibility: Visiting lawyers can now provide expert advice, participate as expert witnesses, attend arbitrations and judicial procedures, and educate.
Paid speeches: Under amended visa regulations, visiting speakers in the UK can now be paid for their talks.
Streamlining the permission process: The Permitted Visitor Route (PPE) has been incorporated into the normal Visitor Route, removing the requirement for a separate visa for some paid activities. However, arranging such events within 30 days after arrival is critical.
