Travelers from some countries can now travel to Britain without a visa, at a very small cost of only 10 British pounds, and it will be fully implemented starting February 22, 2024.
Enter Britain at any time without a visa
The new system launched and announced by the British government allows citizens from these countries to visit the United Kingdom over a period of two years and for unlimited numbers of visits.
Replace the current electronic visa with the electronic form to enter Britain
The recent decisions of the British government stipulate to facilitate the travel of citizens from the Arab Gulf countries to the United Kingdom, as the current electronic visa was replaced with the electronic form for only 12.5 dollars.
This decision includes everyone from these countries, whether adults, children, or infants, and allows them to stay for six months as a tourist, to visit relatives, for the purpose of business, or for short studies, or to obtain transit visas through United Kingdom airports.
Britain exempts citizens of the Gulf countries and Jordan from visa
Citizens of Qatar will be the first to use the electronic visit permit system followed by citizens of other GCC countries and Jordan in February 2024. Throughout 2024, the system will be expanded to other countries around the world.
In an effort to improve border security and the experience for visitors, the British government has announced earlier this year that the new electronic visit permit system will begin operations. The goal is to digitize all of the United Kingdom's border crossings by 2025.
Visitors to the UK or those passing through its borders who do not need a visa for short stays or who do not have another British visa on file can apply for an electronic visitor permit.
More than 790,000 tourists from the Gulf countries visited the UK last year, spending over two billion pounds sterling. This demographic is extremely important to the British economy.
Allowing travelers to stay for 6 months in Britain
The government clarified that the recently announced electronic authorization (ETA) permits citizens of Arab Gulf countries to enter the UK.
Furthermore, you must have a valid reason to stay in the UK, such as a tourist, visiting family, conducting business, attending a short course of study, using UK airports as a transit point, or working temporarily for three months.
