The Canadian government has decided to recall some of Farm Boy's vegan pizza products due to health risks, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency announced in its report.
Dangers of Vegetarian Margherita Pizza
According to a statement issued by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, the vegetarian Margherita pizza is considered to be free of toppings and does not contain information about gluten and other harmful ingredients, which poses a significant risk to people with allergies.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency explained that a consumer of this pizza had complained about the risks he was exposed to when eating this pizza, despite the fact that the product has an expiration date before July 19, 2024, and weighs approximately 330 grams.
Removal of recalled pizza from Canadian markets
According to what the agency announced, it was decided to remove the recalled pizza from Canadian markets, in addition to launching an expanded investigation into food safety, and this matter may lead to the withdrawal of other products from the markets.
Claims not to eat vegetarian pizza
The agency asked anyone who had previously purchased this pizza not to eat it, as the Canadian Ministry of Health confirmed that eating this pizza may cause a serious reaction and may even threaten the person’s life if he suffers from an allergy to dairy products.
The Canadian Ministry of Health stated that this product must be disposed of or returned to the store from which it was purchased.
