Granting a temporary emergency visa to Ukrainians
Since the beginning of March 2022, the federal government has granted more than 930,000 temporary emergency visas to Ukrainians who are interested in working or studying in Canada.

A total of approximately 210 thousand people have traveled to Canada as of this moment.
It has been reported by the organization known as Operation Safe Haven in Ukraine that pre-arrival surveys indicate that as many as ninety thousand individuals who are in possession of emergency visas are considering coming before the deadline.
In light of the fact that there has been a decrease in both public interest and the number of families who are willing to open their houses to newcomers, Sarosh Rizvi, the executive director of the organization, noted that the most significant obstacle is the difficulty of selecting suitable housing.
Those individuals who opt to arrive prior to the deadline are encouraged by the organization to give serious consideration to settling in smaller villages where accommodation is not only readily available but also reasonably priced.
New applications from Palestinians applying for asylum in Canada
The applications for asylum that are submitted to people in Gaza are one of a kind in terms of the level of detail that they require. One expert referred to this level of detail as excessive caution in order to bring Palestinians to Canada.
A new form requires applicants to provide a "description of any scars or injuries" they have, as well as a list of all social media accounts and email addresses they have ever used. Additionally, applicants are required to provide their employment history beginning at the age of 16.
