Canada sets the requirements for foreign citizens to apply for a Canadian work permit

rawda samy - | World

When it comes to applying for a work visa in Canada, Canada determines the standards that foreign citizens must meet.

Canada facilitates the procedures for foreign academics to obtain work permits.

The processes that foreign academics need to go through in order to secure work permits are made easier in Canada.

Increasing the number of foreign academics working in post-secondary institutions in Canada has the potential to not only improve the quality of education in Canada but also make Canadian universities more competitive on a worldwide scale in terms of academic research. For this reason, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and the Economic and Social Development Council (ESDC) have devised a number of procedures to facilitate the hiring of foreign academics in Canada. It is possible that foreign nationals who are hired for research roles at post-secondary schools may not be required to obtain a labor market impact assessment (LMIA), a work visa, or both in many instances.

In order to ensure that regular procedures are followed when recruiting workers through the TFWP, academics who do not qualify for a work permit exemption or an LMIA exemption are required to carry out the necessary steps.

Canada develops a global skills strategy to speed up the procedures for issuing a Canadian work permit.

In order to expedite the processes involved in the issuance of a work permit in Canada, Canada is working on developing a global skills strategy.

It is the intention of the Global Skills Strategy to make it easier for people who are employed in specific positions to have their work permits processed more quickly. In accordance with the Global Skills Strategy, certain expatriates are qualified to submit an application to have their work permits processed within a period of two weeks. To be eligible for expedited processing, applicants who are not Canadian citizens must submit their applications from a location outside of Canada.

Conditions for foreign citizens to obtain work permits.

Foreign nationals must meet requirements in order to receive work permits.

In addition, a foreign national who meets one of the two requirements listed below must submit an application for a work permit:

Employees who are exempt from the LMIA and are traveling to Canada to work in a position that requires a NOC Skill Level 0 or A; oremployees who are in possession of a positive LMIA that was issued through the Global Talent Stream of the TFWP and who are required to have an LMIA.If a foreign national falls into either of these two categories, they are eligible to submit an online application through the IRCC web portal in order to request a work visa that will be processed within two weeks. In addition, spouses, common-law partners, and children who are physically dependent on the applicant are entitled to submit applications for visitor visas, study permits, and work permits, all of which will be processed at a faster rate.
