The UAE unequivocally denounced the terrorist assault that specifically targeted a hotel in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, resulting in the loss of life and causing injuries to numerous innocent individuals.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement affirming the UAE's unequivocal denunciation of these illicit activities, as well as its steadfast repudiation of all manifestations of violence and terrorism that seek to undermine security and stability and contravene principles of international law.

The Ministry sent its heartfelt sympathies and compassion to the Somali government and the compatriot Somali populace, as well as to the families and relatives of the victims affected by this abhorrent act. Furthermore, it expressed its desire for a prompt recuperation for all individuals who have suffered injuries.

Erin Gore, CEO of the American World Central Kitchen, was received by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, on a different level.

The meeting, held at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi, involved deliberations on the ongoing collaboration between the pertinent authorities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Foundation. The objective was to address the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip and enhance the provision of relief assistance to the Strip through air, land, and sea routes.

In this context, the two parties addressed the UAE's endeavors to garner backing for the Amalthea sea corridor initiative, which aims to transport humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip. The initiative has proven successful, as evidenced by the arrival of the first aid vessel carrying 200 tons of food and relief supplies. This achievement was made possible through a collaborative effort between the UAE and the World Central Kitchen Foundation. Additionally, the Republic of Cyprus has also benefited from the sea corridor connecting Cyprus and Gaza.

During the meeting, the President of the State conveyed his gratitude for the humanitarian contributions made by World Central Kitchen globally, particularly in areas of crisis, and its endeavors to provide humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip. He emphasized the UAE's strong commitment to maintaining collaboration with the organization and its partners in the region and other global locations. To mitigate the plight of the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip and bolster humanitarian assistance for them through all available methods.

Irene Gore expressed her gratitude for the endeavors of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the measures undertaken by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in delivering humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip. She acknowledged the productive collaboration with the government in this matter.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Special Affairs Advisor in the Presidential Office, were present at the meeting.
