In 2023, Dubai International Airport experienced a notable rise in the number of travelers, with a total of 86,994,365 passengers, marking a 31.7% annual increase compared to 2019's 86.4 million passengers.

The results were mostly influenced by the significant growth observed in the latter part, with the passenger count reaching 45.4 million.

In the last quarter of last year, there were 22.4 million passengers, showing a 13.8% increase compared to the same period in the previous year. The third quarter remained the busiest of the year with 23 million passengers, making it the quarter with the highest number of passengers since 2019.

December had the highest number of passengers in the last quarter, totaling 7.8 million, whereas August was the busiest month of the previous year with 7.9 million passengers.

Dubai International Airport is connected to 262 destinations by over 102 international airlines serving 104 countries worldwide.

Operational excellence and guest experience at Dubai Airport:

In 2023, the baggage handling system at Dubai International Airport, DXB, processed 77.5 million bags, setting a record for the most number of bags handled in a single year at the airport.

The most prominent international destinations of Dubai International Airport:

India led in passenger numbers with 11.9 million, followed by Saudi Arabia with 6.7 million, and the United Kingdom with 5.9 million.

The top destinations list also featured Pakistan with 4.2 million visitors, the United States with 3.6 million visitors, Russia with 2.5 million visitors, and Germany with 2.5 million visitors.
