Residents of the UAE are urged to renew their Emirates IDs at the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security, according to a request from Dubai Courts.
Customers can change their IDs using the website https://icp.gov.ae/service/@UAEICP, the authority announced in a tweet. According to the article, people should update their Emirates IDs so that Dubai Courts can contact them more easily in the event of legal procedures.
The following are the main characteristics of the new form:
- A new form has been created. The ICP claims that this was accomplished in keeping with the authority's "visual identity."
- Place the applicant's headshot in the top left corner of the application.
- By scanning the QR code located in the top right corner of the form, the application can be followed.
- On a separate section of the form, the following step in the procedure is described.
- On the bottom left of the form, the name and address of the business to whom the card will be delivered are listed.
- To access the Customer Voice Gateway, a tool for filing complaints with the ICP, a QR code has been introduced.
- The customer can modify the finger appointment date by scanning another QR code.
The fees for issuing Emirates IDs and visas have increased, the ICP also announced at the start of this year. A spokesman acknowledged that all services provided by the ICP are subject to the increased fees.
According to the new regulations, Emirates ID now costs Dh370 instead of Dh270, and a one-month visit visa now costs Dh370 rather than Dh270.
