RM Sotheby's, the leading collector car auction house globally, is set to hold its first Dubai auction of supercars on March 9, featuring extraordinary vehicles such as the 2023 Aston Martin Valkyrie and a recreation of the 1935 Bugatti Type 57 Atlantic.
The Aston Martin Valkyrie, making its auction debut in Dubai, is anticipated to fetch between $2.9 million to $3.3 million. This exceptional vehicle, finished in Scintilla Silver, offers enthusiasts a unique opportunity to acquire a little-used, one-owner car renowned for its exceptional design and performance.
For those seeking a touch of nostalgia, the 1935 Bugatti Type 57 Atlantic Recreation by Erik Koux will also be up for auction, with an estimated selling price ranging from Dh2.57 million to Dh3.3 million. This meticulously crafted recreation pays homage to one of the most iconic pre-war cars, showcasing timeless elegance and sophistication.
Dubai's status as one of the world's premier luxury car markets has been further solidified by the influx of thousands of millionaires relocating to the city in recent years. Mate Rimac, CEO of Bugatti Rimac, highlighted the city's appeal for ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs), citing safety and security as key factors driving their decision to settle in Dubai.
Among the impressive lineup of vehicles, the 2014 McLaren P1, adorned in Mercury over Harissa Red, is expected to command a price ranging from Dh2.93 million to Dh3.67 million. Ferrari aficionados will have the opportunity to bid for the 2022 Ferrari 812 Competizione, valued between Dh4 million to Dh4.77 million, showcasing the brand's signature V-12 engine and front-engine design.
Lamborghini enthusiasts will be drawn to the 2017 Lamborghini Centenario LP770-4 Coupé, one of only 20 models produced to commemorate the company's founder. Priced between Dh7.34 million to Dh9.175 million, this remarkable vehicle boasts a powerful 6.5-liter V-12 engine and cutting-edge rear-wheel steering technology.
Additionally, the auction will feature the rare Koenigsegg Agera RSR, tailored exclusively for the Japanese market. With a price estimated between Dh10.2 million to Dh12.5 million, this supercar offers unparalleled performance, powered by a 5.0-liter V-8 engine delivering an astounding 1,160 horsepower.
