How to Use a Mobile App to Check RTA Fines:

You must download the RTA Dubai Drive app from your store in order to check RTA traffic fines on a mobile device. We have update links for both Android and iOS below.

Open the RTA App after downloading and installing it, and then click the My Vehicle and Services option to find My Fines.

Choose the type of fine inquiry in Step 1:

Including plate information, a traffic code number, a licence number, and a fine number, select the option that best suits your needs. Choose Plate Details from the menu if you want to see your vehicle's fine history and make a payment. Select the plate type (private, taxi), plate source (Dubai, Sharjah), and plate code (A, B, C, 1, 2, and 3) Enter your number plate number and select "view fines."

Step 2: Examine the Small Print:

Once you select "View Fines," you will be able to see all of the fines listed under the written number plate. Information about the fines, such as the amount, the type of infraction, the date and time of the ticket, the ticket or radar image, and many other helpful facts, will be displayed to drivers on this page.

Pay traffic fines in Step 3:

If you wish to pay RTA fines, simply choose the fines you want to pay and click the Pay button at the bottom of this page. After you click Pay, a pop-up window will appear as a new screen and ask you which payment method you want to use. If you already have a Dubai Now account, select that option. If not, click the next button after selecting either by card or direct debit.

A new page of the RTA Smart Government Service Provider will open once you click the next button, displaying your transaction details and available payment options, including credit card, edirhamG2, direct debit, oneclick pay, and noqodi. The first choice—using a credit, debit, or Visa card—is advised.

For a one-time password and an email address to receive payment confirmation, respectively, enter your information. Click the next button, enter the code, expiration date, and card number to complete the payment.

After confirming the OTP, click again. After paying the fine, you will see a confirmation text on the same website and receive confirmation via email and mobile number as well.

When you arrive at the UAE traffic fines inquiry website, you have four choices for checking whether or not any penalties have been registered. The four choices are:

  1. Vehicle Plate Number
  2. Driving License Number
  3. Fine Number (if you already have fine)
  4. Traffic File Number (TC Number)

Let's start by learning how to check the fines associated with a vehicle plate number.

Step 1: Enter your number plate number, choose an Emirate (such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, or Sharjah) where your car is registered, then choose a vehicle category (such as private, taxi, etc.) and a vehicle code from the drop-down menu. Complete the captcha, then click the search button.

Note: The plate code will be alphabetic for Dubai, while it will be numeric or colour names for Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

Step 2: Everything the system knows about your vehicle plate will be displayed on page 2, including the total fine amount, black points, violation type with date and time, the original ticket or radar image, etc. All of the significant information was red-highlighted.

Step 3: Your fine-checking search comes to a conclusion at this point. If you'd want to pay your fine online, you can do so on this same page by choosing the Continue and Verify Identity option.

Write your birth year, traffic code number from the back of your licence, successfully complete the captcha, and then click the confirm button.

You will now be taken to the payment page, where you must enter your bank card information. You will get a confirmation email at the specified email once the fine has been paid.

Note: Only the owner of the car may pay fines on the RTA desktop website; if you are not the owner and wish to pay fines, we advise using the Dubai Police mobile app.

Check Dubai Police App for Traffic Fines:

You must first download the Dubai Police mobile app from the links below in order to check your traffic penalties there. Alternatively, you may go directly to the website by typing dubaipolice.gov.ae.

Step 1: Open the app after downloading it, and you'll see the Fine Payment option on the main home screen. Click the search button to find it if you can't find it there. If not, fret not—you can find it in the Services tab, as seen in the image.

Step 2: Select one of the four possibilities to finish the fine inquiry; we are going with plate. Enter "done" after writing your plate number and code.

Step 3: After selecting the "Done" button, a new page titled "Ticket List" will open with all information about fines that have been registered against the vehicle plate number you provided. This information includes the date and time of the fine, the location where the violation was recorded, the ticket number, the amount of the fine, the number of black points, and most importantly, the reason for the fine with an image from a radar (road camera) or ticket receipt.

Step 4: At this point, you can easily pay your traffic charges if you want to. To obtain the OTP, you must authenticate your identity by providing your email address and an active mobile number on page 2 after clicking the Pay button. Click "Send OTP" and then "Check SMS."

After entering the OTP, you will be taken to page 3, where you must input the information for your credit or debit card. Once everything is complete, you will receive an SMS confirming that you have successfully paid the fines.

Dubai's Check Fines by Traffic File Number

On the back of a UAE driver's licence, there is a traffic file number for Dubai, also known as a TC Number (T.C No), which is essentially an 8-digit traffic code number.

Open the Dubai Police fine enquiry page and select Option 2 for TC No. to check fines. No, simply click "done" after entering your 8-digit personal traffic code number. The next page will display any fines if there are any.

How to Check the Fines on a UAE Driver's Licence:

For people who want to check their licence fines, option 3 on the Dubai Police app's fine enquiry page allows them to do so by selecting one of the Emirates where their licence was granted, such as Sharjah, Dubai, or Ajman. then click the next button after entering your 7-digit licence number.

On the following page, you will be shown any fines that have been registered against your driver's licence.

Verify Fines Using Ticket Number:

The final and fourth options are to check your fines using your ticket number or fine number. The following fines can be reviewed on the Dubai Police mobile app by simply entering the ticket number and fine year:

RTA Kiosk for Checking and Paying Fines:

The owner of the driving licence or vehicle must go to the kiosk (as they may need an ID card) and perform the following in order to verify and pay their licence or vehicle penalties at RTA smart self-service kiosks:

  • In the e-service menu, select Fine Inquiry & Payments.
  • Enter your licence or plate number.
  • Verify OTP and pay any applicable fines.
  • Kiosk accepts both cash and credit cards.
