After being put on hold during the pandemic, the marine transport service is scheduled to resume in August!
No traffic, no tolls, no mishaps. For the price of a Gold Class metro fare, the travel between the two emirates was straightforward and uneventful. Yes, starting on August 4, the Dubai-Sharjah boat service will make waves once more. The RTA declared today that commuter transportation will once again be provided by the Dubai Ferry service, which was halted during the pandemic.
In order to assist locals in avoiding the notoriously clogged roads during rush hour, the Roads and Transport Authorities of both emirates collaborated to create this water transport service. The trip between Dubai and Sharjah, which used to take hours (during rush hour), will now just take 35 minutes. Additionally, the ticket prices, which start at AED 15, will be less expensive than the price of gas you would otherwise pay for the trip.
The dates and times of the ferry service between Dubai and Sharjah
The ferry service is open seven days a week, with eight trips from Monday through Thursday and six trips from Friday through Sunday. Between the Aquarium Marine Station in Sharjah and the Al Ghubaiba Marine Station in Dubai, the boats will operate as a shuttle service.

Weekday morning ferries departing from Sharjah at 7 and 8:30 a.m. and from Dubai at 7:45 a.m. are available for transportation. Office workers have an alternate transit route available during the evening rush hour thanks to the ferry's nighttime schedule, which departs from Sharjah at 4:45 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. Three ferries will leave Dubai for Sharjah at four, five, and seven o'clock in the evening.
Ferries will only operate on weekends, from Friday through Sunday, in the evenings. The trips from Dubai will begin at 3 p.m., 5 p.m., and 8 p.m., while the trips from Sharjah will depart at 2 p.m., 4 p.m., and 6 p.m.
Methods for Buying Tickets
The ferry's one-way fares for Silver Class are 15 AED, while Gold Class fares are 25 AED. Children under five years old and People of Determination are free to travel on the ferry. Like other public transportation systems in the city, ferry tickets can be purchased online at www.marine.rta.ae or through the customer service desks located at each marine station. You can also pay for your ferry tickets with a Nol card.
