In preparation for the holy month of Ramadan, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai has made public its paid parking schedule.

In the hours immediately following sundown, it may be difficult to find a parking spot due to the fact that iftars are being held all over the city. Nevertheless, the RTA has just made things simpler with the news that it made recently.

Parking fee collection time

Between the hours of 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, and again between 8:00 pm and midnight, parking fees will be collected from Monday through Saturday. This indicates that parking will be free for a period of two hours during the iftar dinner.

Parking zone F in the TECOM region will only charge costs between the hours of 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM. This indicates that parking is free till eight o'clock the next morning.

There is one significant exception, and that is parking lots with multiple levels, which charge costs throughout the entire day and night throughout the month of Ramadan.

Additionally, it is important to keep in mind that on Sundays and other public holidays, parking is entirely free at every single location inside the city.

Time spent traveling

Additionally, the hours of operation for the various transportation services provided by the Dubai Road and Transport Authority during the month of Ramadan have been disclosed.

In the city, the Metro service will continue to operate according to its regular timetable throughout the month of Ramadan. There will be no alterations to the operation.

In a similar vein, the operating hours of the tram service will not be altered in any way, and the bus routes will be synchronized with the schedule of the metro.

The Dubai water taxi will make stops during the times of iftar and Juma prayer, but other than that, it will continue to operate according to a robust schedule. Abras and the Dubai ferry will also continue to operate in this manner.

Revisions to the service hours

During the month of Ramadan, the RTA has also adjusted the hours that it is open for service. Customers can visit the customer service centers located in Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, Al Tawar, and Al Manara between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Fridays.

On the other hand, the Smart Customer Happiness Centres located in Umm Ramool, Al Manara, Deira, and Al Barsha, as well as the RTA Head Office, will continue to function as they normally would day and night.

Work and school hours have been cut back substantially

According to the announcement made by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE), during the month of Ramadan, the working hours of all employees in the private sector in the United Arab Emirates would be reduced by two hours every day. The hours of operation for federal agencies and ministries are as follows: Monday through Thursday, from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm; on Fridays, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Additionally, it has been determined that during the month of Ramadan in the year 2023, schools will decrease the amount of time teachers spend in the classroom to a maximum of five hours. It is also recommended that educational institutions close their doors for the day on Friday by noon in order to make room for Friday prayers.
