On the occasion of the New Year, the UAE will provide free parking in all its facilities.
Drivers in Dubai will be able to take advantage of free parking for two consecutive days during the forthcoming holiday weekend. There will be no charge for parking in public spaces on the first day of the new year, which is Monday, January 1, 2024, according to an announcement made by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). On Sundays, parking that requires payment is free to use in Dubai.
Free parking places
It is not possible to park for free at terminals that have multiple levels. Beginning on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, the parking fee will once again be subject to payment.
New Year's holiday date
Residents will be able to celebrate the new year with a three-day weekend at their disposal. On Monday, January 1st, a public holiday, is observed by the government. Taking into account the weekend that occurs on Saturday and Sunday, this constitutes a three-day respite.
Timetables for RTA services
- On January 1, all customer service and technical testing centers will be closed for the winter holiday.
- Between the hours of 8 a.m. on December 31, 2023 and 11:59 p.m. on January 1, 2024, the Red and Green lines of the Dubai Metro will be operational.
- The Dubai Tram will operate from nine in the morning on December 31, 2023, till one in the morning on January 2, 2024.
