Those who are eligible to receive a performance bonus in the United Arab Emirates have been informed of the requirements.
In order for Dubai government civil servants to be eligible for the performance bonus that was approved by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and chairman of the Executive Council, the Human Resources Department of the Dubai government has established five criteria. The bonus is scheduled to be distributed before the end of this year.
Standards that must be met
Iman bin Khatam, the executive director of the policies and programs sector at the government of Dubai Human Resources Department, has outlined five criteria that must be fulfilled for an employee to be eligible for a bonus. These criteria include being a qualified civil servant, being discharged based on the performance evaluation results for the year 2022, having a minimum service period of one year as of December 31, 2022, not having received any disciplinary measures in the last six months, and having a performance evaluation rating of at least Grade 3, which signifies meeting or exceeding expectations.
Performance bonus for civil service employees in government agencies
It is His Majesty A performance bonus for civil servants in government entities that are subject to the government of Dubai Human Resources Law No. 8 of 2018 in the amount of AED 152 million has been approved by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and chairman of the Executive Council. This was done in accordance with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and the Ruler of Dubai.All qualified governmental officials are eligible to receive the bonus, which is determined by the criteria established by the Human Resources Department of the government of Dubai.
Conditions for determining the bonus amount
Regarding the determination of the amount of the bonus, bin Khatam explained that it was determined according to the assessment levels, and it was based on the basic salary of the employee at the time of approving the disbursement of the bonus. The disbursement of the bonus will take place before the end of this year, and it will be distributed to government agencies in order to determine the percentages that are assigned to each employee.
The Department of Human Resources of the government of Dubai has provided clarification that the bonus for civil servants working in government entities that are subject to the Human Resources Law No. 8 of 2018 of the government of Dubai will be distributed prior to the end of the current year 2023. Additionally, the bonus will be awarded to employees who received a rating of three or higher at the conclusion of the performance evaluation cycle for the year 2022.
