The person may be surprised that his passport is about to expire, and the officials at the airport immediately renewed his passport in record time. The security services also explained that a replacement passport can be obtained if it is lost, damaged, or expired.
Steps to replace a passport in the UAE
The passport replacement service can be implemented either through the official website or the electronic application of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Security and Ports Security in the UAE, by following the following steps:
Through the application or website
1- By creating a personal account or registering through the Federal Authority’s website or smart application.
2- Go to the passport issuance service, and then specify the reason for replacing the passport, whether it is damaged or missing, or if there are no remaining pages.
3- Fill in the required data.
4- Pay the service fees.
Through the Learners’ Happiness Center
1- Visit the nearest customer happiness center.
2- Get an automatic turn ticket and wait.
3- The application, along with all conditions and documents, is submitted to the customer service employee.

Requirements for replacing a damaged passport in the UAE
1- A personal photo measuring 5.4 x 5.3 cm with a white background.
2- Damaged passport.
3- Report on the cause of the damage.
4- It is also required that the passport holder be present in person when applying for a replacement.
5- The signature and fingerprint are placed on the ID card for people over 15 years of age.
6- In the event of loss of the passport, a police certificate stating the loss of the passport is required.
It is worth noting that the competent authorities in the UAE require that the data of the passport holder be verified, and the security authorities in the UAE advise on the necessity of verifying all information accurately to prevent any possible delay and ensure rapid processing within the specified time frame.
