There are fewer than two months left until Ramadan, and there has been a substantial increase in the number of those who are interested in performing the Umrah pilgrimage during the holy month of Islam.
A significant increase in queries is being received by travel companies. In comparison to past months, the number of inhabitants of the United Arab Emirates who have traveled for the purpose of pilgrimage has increased by a factor of two hundred percent, as reported by tour operators.
On the other hand, Umrah operators are enthusiastic about an even greater number of locals performing pilgrimage due to the fact that the holy month falls during the winter season. It is anticipated that the milder weather would encourage a greater number of devout individuals to engage on their spiritual path during this convenient period.
The representative of ASAA Tourism in Abu Hail, Qaiser Mahmood, stated that the company receives more than one hundred calls every single day from locals who are looking to fulfill their religious obligations during the holy month.
Umrah prices during the holy month of Ramadan
Umrah packages typically begin at Dh3,000; however, it is important to note that during the first twenty days of Ramadan, the prices increase by roughly 25 percent. The price of the package begins at Dh3,700 and continues through the first twenty days of Ramadan. It is possible that the price will go up for pilgrims who wish to stay in a single room, depending on the hotel and its location.
During the first twenty days of the holy month of Ramadan, hotels in the holy towns of Makkah and Madina provide accommodations for a total of five nights. On the other hand, hotels are only able to offer accommodations for the full length during the final ten days, as shorter stays are almost never accessible.
There is an almost one hundred percent increase in the cost of packages as the month continues, particularly during the final ten days of the holy month. When it comes to saving money on lodging, aggregators urge that residents make reservations in advance.
The price of the package might go as high as Dh40,000 for the final ten days of the holy month of Ramadan. If pilgrims make their reservations in advance, they can save a large amount of money, according to Mahmood, who also mentioned that the package package includes a visa, aircraft tickets, and lodging.
Umrah by bus
With packages beginning at Dh2,500, Umrah by bus is becoming increasingly popular in the United Arab Emirates. Imran Mohammed, who works for Al Tarwiyah Haj and Umrah service in Sharjah, stated that the majority of individuals who are willing to perform the Umrah during the holy month are businesspeople and those who are not married. According to Imran, "A bus ride is convenient for them, while families prefer the visit during school breaks so that they can spend time together."
The costs of Umrah packages, he continued, are mostly determined by the accommodations, which are more expensive during the holy month. "The abundance of spiritual rewards that are associated with this holy month is the primary motivation for Muslims to choose to perform Umrah during the holy month of Ramadan."
