Since the United Arab Emirates and Kosovo signed a memorandum of understanding on Thursday, nationals of the UAE are now able to travel to Kosovo without the need for a visa.
By virtue of the MoU, holders of regular, diplomatic, special, and mission passports will be excluded from the necessity to get a visa for international travel.
Conditions for obtaining a visa
The United Arab Emirates nationals who have held valid passports for a period of at least six months are exempt from the visa requirement for admission into Kosovo and are permitted to stay there for a maximum of ninety days during each visit. In exchange, inhabitants of Kosovo who are in possession of valid diplomatic, official, or regular passports are exempt from the necessity that they get a visa in order to enter the United Arab Emirates.
Signing the memorandum of understanding
Both the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, Donika Gërvalla-Schwarz, expressed their satisfaction with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding.
Khaled Abdullah Belhoul, the Undersecretary of the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Xhabir Hamiti, the Ambassador of Kosovo to the United Arab Emirates, were the individuals who signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on behalf of the United Arab Emirates.
