UAE Introduces On-the-Spot Job Offers, 800 Vacancies at Abu Dhabi Career Fair

Asma Ahmed - | UAE

The Industrialists Career Exhibition in Abu Dhabi is a platform that connects Emirati job seekers with opportunities in various sectors, aiming to fill over 800 positions offered by approximately 80 companies.

Organized by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) in conjunction with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre), the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (Nafis), and ADNOC Group, the event aligns with the National In-Country Value (ICV) Programme, emphasizing the empowerment and upskilling of local talent.

In its second edition, the exhibition surpasses its inaugural offering of 500 jobs to Emiratis, furthering the collaboration between governmental entities and private enterprises. This initiative not only provides immediate employment opportunities but also includes training prospects at leading national institutions. Notably, the exhibition seeks to create 150 positions specifically for people of determination, underscoring its commitment to inclusivity and diversity.

Omar Al Suwaidi, MoIAT's Undersecretary, underscores the exhibition's role as a comprehensive platform bridging the gap between industrial companies and Emirati job seekers. He encourages Emiratis to explore the myriad job openings and avail themselves of training opportunities, emphasizing the UAE's ambition to become a global hub for sustainable industries, vital for the nation's economic growth.

Aligned with national strategies such as Operation 300bn and the Make it in the Emirates initiative, the exhibition is pivotal in advancing the objectives outlined in the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology. Ghana's Butti Al Mazrouei, Secretary General of Nafis, highlights the council's efforts to foster Emirati talent by developing tailored training programs in collaboration with industrial partners and training institutions.

Yaser Saeed Al Mazrouei, ADNOC Executive Director, emphasizes the significance of initiatives like the exhibition in bolstering the UAE's economy and empowering local talent. ADNOC's commitment to the ICV program has resulted in over 11,500 Emiratis finding roles in the private sector, showcasing the effectiveness of public-private partnerships in driving economic progress.

Running until Wednesday at the Abu Dhabi Energy Centre, the exhibition serves as a testament to the UAE's dedication to nurturing talent and fostering economic sustainability through strategic collaborations and targeted initiatives.
