UAE Meteorology has announced that yesterday is the coldest day ever recorded on this day.
The temperatures in the United Arab Emirates have finally plummeted to single digits, which is something that we have all been waiting for since the beginning of winter. For the past few days, residents in a number of different regions have been experiencing the sensation of living in a colder climate. According to the National Centre of Meteorology, they have been waking up to temperatures that are in the single digits.
Temperatures throughout the day
At 7.30 in the morning on January 10, Raknah (Al Ain) had temperatures that dropped to 5.3 degrees Celsius, making it the coldest day of the year that has been officially recorded. This is the lowest temperature that the National Climate Measurement has recorded so far in this year. There was a temperature of 5.8 degrees Celsius in the region on Thursday.
Recording the lowest temperature
In comparison to the majority of other regions, Raknah has been experiencing temperatures that are lower this year. With that being said, Jebel Jais peak had a temperature decrease of 7.2 degrees Celsius on January 9th. Beginning in the year 2024, the temperature in the country has been below 10 degrees Celsius. There are some mountainous places that are anticipated to have temperatures that are much lower. With a temperature of -2 degrees Celsius, Raknah in 2021 became the location with the lowest air temperature ever recorded.
The beginning of winter this year
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) officially entered the winter months after the 21st of December, and according to the opinions of various analysts, the country has seen a winter that is milder than in past years. Moreover, the average temperature for the month of December has been greater than it was in previous years.
Those who are passionate about the outdoors and adventure are looking forward to the cold weather so that they can take in the breathtaking scenery of Jebel Jais's snow-capped mountains. The popular mountain in Ras Al Khaimah is the most appealing winter location, according to Fahad Mohamad Abdul Rehman, who is widely recognized as one of the most devoted storm chasers in the United Arab Emirates.
"There are a lot of tourist destinations in the country, but Jebel Jais is, in my opinion, the best one. Even though it is chilly, I have feelings of joy, tranquility, and optimism whenever I arrive at such places. The mountains, which are covered with snow and white in color during the winter months, make it even more picturesque.
Now is the moment to feel the chill by donning those warm sweaters and experiencing the cold.
