The British government is giving more work options for young Australians from this month, as the popular visa scheme becomes available to more people.
Mobility visa eligibility for Australians in the UK
Currently, eligibility for a mobility visa is for Australians in the United Kingdom who are between the ages of 18 and 35 years old.
This limit is considered the highest compared to the previous one, as the previous age limit was only 30 years for young people wishing to work and stay in the United Kingdom.
Extension of the visa for three years
The new system also allows Australians to extend a two-year visa for an additional year, making it currently 3 years.
You can now apply for a visa before reaching the age of 18, and it can exceed the age of 35, and you can obtain the visa only once.
The earliest time to apply for a visa is 6 months before travel, and Australians can enter Britain at any time as long as their visa is valid, and they can leave and return at any time.
Funds criteria for obtaining a visa
The British government sets a number of criteria that must be met financially, the first of which is that you must have 2,530 British pounds, which is equivalent to about 4,900 dollars, and you must have the money in your personal bank account for at least 28 days.
It must also be the 28th day within 31 days of applying for the visa, and the cash amounts must appear in the bank statement.
Visa applicants need to apply for a UK biometric residence permit, which involves taking a photograph and fingerprints from a visa application centre.
