The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai bestows an accolade upon a driver.

A delivery rider who stopped to replace the traffic signal was honored by the RTA. "I didn't do it for reward," the rider said.

Fixing the dangling light, which may have caused injuries to pedestrians or other motorists, was the Pakistani man's way of preventing a potential hazard from occurring.

When a delivery driver in Dubai fixes a traffic signal, the Roads and Transport Authority gives him a reward for his efforts.

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) presented an award to Zeeshan Ahmed, a Talabat delivery rider, in recognition of his prompt action and demonstration of civic responsibility. Zeeshan fixed a traffic light that was hanging from Al Wasl Street, preventing a potential hazard from occurring. Unbeknownst to him, the camera was capturing his service to the community.

"I was just driving along Al Wasl Street because I did not have a delivery order at the time," Zeeshan claimed. "I was just driving." I became aware of the broken signal all of a sudden. A dislodged panel hung precariously.

On that day, there was a lot of wind, and I was concerned that it would hit a pedestrian or another driver. Consequently, I hurriedly parked my bicycle and made an effort to repair it. I had no notion that someone had put a video of me on the internet that they had recorded.

Zeeshan received a phone call from the administration of Talabat two days after the incident, in which they informed him that RTA had requested his contact information.

RTA informed me that they had obtained the footage and wanted to honor me. Therefore, I gave them permission to disclose my information. After that, they invited me to the RTA headquarters, treating me like a brother. They did not stop expressing their gratitude to me for my assistance. I was quite appreciative of the acknowledgement.

In recognition of Zeeshan Ahmad, the Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Directors of RTA, Mattar Al Tayer, presented him with an award.

Zeeshan, from Pakistan, has been working as a delivery rider in the United Arab Emirates for more than ten years. He has stated that he does whatever he does for Dubai. It was him who said, "I love this city so much." Not only is it the most gorgeous city on the planet, but it has also provided me with a great deal. Because of this, I believe that it is essential for everyone to contribute in order to maintain the beauty that this city currently possesses. As delivery riders, we are always on the road and witness a wide variety of things.
