Workers in the public and private sectors of the United Arab Emirates will be given a four-day holiday, according to an announcement made by the digital government administration of the country.
The announcement of the Arafat Pause holiday and the Eid al-Adha holiday came at the same time as the United Arab Emirates government made the announcement. This means that the days of the two holidays will be four consecutive days, which corresponds to 9-12 Dhu al-Hijjah 1445 AH at the time.
It was noted by the Emirates Digital Government that Islamic holidays are dependent on the seeing of the crescent moon, and the dates that they are celebrated on in Gregorian calendars might change based on seeing the moon.
In addition, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) celebrates its National Day and the anniversary of the foundation of the Union in 1971 on December 2 of each year, as stated on the official website of the digital government. On December 2 and 3, all government and private administrative offices will be closed in observance of this national holiday.
The phrase "Spirit of the Union" was chosen to be the official slogan for the celebrations that took place on the National Day of the United Arab Emirates. Additionally, it was disseminated to become the official slogan for all events that took place in each and every emirate of the country. The vision of the founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on him, was the inspiration for the creation of the logo.
