The Dubai Esports & Games Festival (DEF) is scheduled to take place in the year 2024, according to official announcements

It has been revealed that the Dubai Esports & Games Festival (DEF) would be held in 2024.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, will serve as the patron of the Dubai Entertainment Festival 2024, which will take place from April 19 to May 4 of that year.

"The Dubai Esports & Games Festival 2024 is more than just an event; it is a celebration of the ability, strategy, and commitment of gamers and esports pros hailing from all across the city, the region, and the larger global scene. In a city that is dedicated to the expansion and transformation of the digital economy, the festival that will take place this year is expected to be the most successful gaming industry in the area. This will further strengthen Dubai's position as a worldwide hub for esports and gaming throughout the whole year. During the course of this year, DEF will continue to push the boundaries of gaming and esports experiences by exploring new and unique domains. In addition to bringing together gamers, fans, and industry professionals from all over the world who share a passion for gaming and esports, DEF 2024 will also give these communities the tools they need to flourish not only in Dubai but also throughout the Greater Gulf Cooperation Council and beyond. the Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, Ahmed Al Khaja, stated.

Over 50 games will be played on 200 machines throughout the festival, including 11 titles that have not yet been released and four world-first showings. The festival's goal is to surpass the standards that were established by past editions.

The extraordinary number of 48,200 esports competitors and attendees from 91 different countries that attended DEF 2023 demonstrates the event's ability to draw people from all over the world.

The GameExpo, which will take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from May 3 to May 5, is an essential component of DEF 2024.

It is anticipated that attendees of the GameExpo will have the opportunity to investigate cutting-edge gaming items, watch esports tournaments, and participate in a variety of activations, including seminars on coding and fashioning costumes.

Furthermore, Play Beyond will be hosting exciting gaming competitions in which the most prominent players from across the world and the area will compete against one another, giving viewers the opportunity to see the pinnacle of gaming competition.

During the holy month of Ramadan, the festival will also feature online competitions dedicated to the holy month of Ramadan, which will generate enthusiasm among the gaming community.

In addition, DEF 2024 is dedicated to the development of young talent through the implementation of programs such as the Minecraft Education Challenge and the Microsoft MakeCode Competition.

During the course of the festival, students will have the option to participate in a variety of educational activities that will provide them with the chance to improve their digital abilities and get intimate knowledge regarding the gaming business.

The GameExpo Summit, which is powered by Pocket Gamer Connects, will give a venue for professionals working in the gaming business to network and share their expertise. The event will feature speakers, panels, and chances to interact with industry experts.
