Dubai Police warns drivers of a fine of 400 dirhams due to children

Drivers in Dubai are in danger of receiving a fine of 400 dirhams due to the presence of minors.

The Dubai Police reminds parents to maintain their children's safety when they are in cars.

As a result of a survey that indicated that one out of every three parents does not own safe car seats, motorists were warned of the dangers that might arise from failing to properly secure youngsters.

Vehicle drivers have been reminded by the authorities to begin the New Year by making road safety a first priority, particularly for toddlers and young children who are required to be safely restrained in their car seats while they are traveling.

In particular, the message was aimed at members of the parental population. We place a high focus on safety, and you should do the same. In a tweet, the Dubai Police Department emphasized that the first step in protecting the safety of our young children is to make certain that they are safely seated in their respective car seats.

Due to minors, Dubai Police alerts drivers to a 400 dirham fine.

Watch the video below to learn how children aged 12 and younger, as well as those aged 13 and older, are required to be seated in car seats.

This implies that parents are required to bring their infant home in a proper child seat as soon as the newborn is discharged from the hospital. This is in accordance with the Seat Belt Law, which has been in effect since 2017 and mandates the use of child seats for children aged 0 to 4 years old.

He continued, saying, "It is of the utmost importance to perform the role of the responsible parent, which means to purchase and always use the appropriate child restraint system." These must be adequate child seats until the kid reaches the age of four; initially, they must face the rear of the vehicle; later, they must face the front of the vehicle.

Safety belts are required for everyone.

All passengers in a vehicle, including those sitting in the back seat, are expected to wear seat belts in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). If they refuse to do so, the driver of the vehicle will be subject to a fine of Dh400 and four black points.

Dubai Police tell drivers that if they don't watch out for children, they will be fined 400 dirhams.

It is required that a child safety seat be made available to children who are younger than four years old. Individuals who violate the rules will be subject to a fine of Dh400 and four black points.

Additionally, the passenger in the front seat must be at least 145 centimeters tall and not younger than ten years old.

In the case of a collision, an infant car seat is intended to provide a level of protection that is comparable to that of a protective cocoon.

A child will be pushed into the seat on the front impact, and the shell and inlay protect the spine and other essential portions of the child.

Newborn seats are positioned such that they face backwards, so that the child will be pushed into the seat. The higher sides that are close to the child's head form a "side impact protection system." This system prevents the child's head from moving too much in the event of a side accident.

Additionally, the child is restrained throughout the journey by the seat belts. In addition, they secure the child in the most secure position and maintain it there in the case of a rear or side accident, just like the seat belts that are used for adults.
