Experts in the business have stated that flying taxis will reduce the amount of time it takes to travel between Abu Dhabi and Dubai to just thirty minutes. This emphasizes the United Arab Emirates' position as a leader in the urban transportation revolution.

The UAE is preparing to operate flying taxis soon.

Soon, the United Arab Emirates will begin offering flying taxi services.

During a panel discussion, JoeBen Bevirt, Chief Executive Officer of Joby Aviation, stated that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been seeing a tremendous amount of momentum in terms of infrastructure creation and the certification of autonomous aircraft.

"The United Arab Emirates has been able to expedite moves on building critical infrastructure," Bevirt added, highlighting the fact that Joby Aviation has placed a significant emphasis on safety and noise control.

Joby Aviation announced in February that it had signed a deal with Dubai's Road and Transport Authority (RTA) to launch air taxi services in the Emirate of Dubai by the beginning of 2026.

Other firms, such as Archer Aviation, a manufacturer of electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, and Falcon Aviation, an aviation services operator in the United Arab Emirates, have also stated their intention to create vertiport infrastructure for strategic areas in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Additionally, the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) in Abu Dhabi has developed the Smart and Autonomous Vehicle Industry (SAVI) cluster, in which Joby and Archer have indicated their intention to participate.

A number of important aspects of Archer's partnership with ADIO include the development of vertiports, the provision of operational enablement for air taxi operations in the United Arab Emirates, and the production of Midnight aircraft within Egypt. In accordance with the terms of the agreement, ADIO will both promote the building of Archer's international headquarters and center of excellence in Abu Dhabi as well as assure the implementation of local workforce development programs for Emirati artists and professionals.
