The Roads and Transport Authority in the UAE announced the provision of a fleet of public transport buses free of charge on the occasion of the New Year celebrations.
Through this decision, the Authority seeks to provide all means of comfort for citizens and residents during New Year celebrations and reduce traffic congestion.
Additional parking
It is worth noting that the Executive Director of the Roads and Transport Authority in the UAE had previously confirmed that the Authority would provide many additional parking spaces.
Adding that taxi services in the Emirates are also scheduled to continue operating regularly during the New Year's Eve period.
Free bus rides
The Authority also announced that it will provide 230 buses free of charge to citizens and residents on its territory starting next December 30. Through the recent decisions, the Authority seeks to strengthen the public transportation infrastructure in the Emirates.
The host also aims to ensure the well-being of citizens and guests on its territory to celebrate the New Year.
The Authority decided to rearrange approximately 900 additional parking spaces, especially in the Al Wasl and Al Jafiliya areas, to ensure the smooth flow of cars during the celebrations and prevent traffic congestion.
New parking facilities
The Authority also provided many new parking facilities in Bay, so that citizens and residents can park their cars in a smooth, comfortable and safe manner.
The authority explained that many signs and message boards will be installed to provide the necessary information to drivers in real time, whether certain roads are closed, or alternative roads available at this time.
