Additionally, the municipality aims to strengthen its humanitarian and societal approach by emphasizing that the implementation of legal and administrative measures to address public parking violations is intended to regulate the operation of this service and ensure its continuous availability to the public.
In this particular context, Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, the Director General of the Sharjah City Municipality and Chairman of the Supreme Rain Emergency Committee, has affirmed that the municipality has made significant endeavors to address the consequences of the air depression. The municipality has effectively mobilized its personnel and established mechanisms to improve traffic flow and safeguard human lives and property. Additionally, it served a humanitarian and civic function by offering numerous services to individuals impacted by the situation. We facilitate the transportation of damaged automobiles to a secure location and assist individuals in reaching their residences, whether they are at home or on public streets.
In accordance with this responsibility, Al-Taniji verified that the municipality refrained from enforcing any public parking infractions in all their manifestations during inclement weather, including non-payment of fees, reservation of multiple parking spaces, parking in reserved lots, and other infractions. This measure was implemented to enhance public convenience and alleviate the burden on individuals during such circumstances. There was a significant amount of rainfall and water buildup in numerous regions.
The individual observed that the Sharjah City Municipality has refrained from issuing public parking violations in areas impacted by gatherings until a complete restoration of normalcy is achieved. This is due to the ongoing and urgent efforts to disband these areas, conduct thorough cleaning operations, and implement other measures aimed at restoring their beauty, visual appeal, and cultural significance.
