The Abu Dhabi Police Department has issued a warning to motorists, stating that they will be subject to a fine of Dh400 if they do not adhere to the lane discipline regulations.
The first episode of their 'Traffic Highlights' campaign, which was unveiled earlier this month, includes this news as one of its components.
Necessary lane indicators
Engineer Mansour Rashid Al Saidi, who works for the Abu Dhabi Police Department, stated that necessary lane indications include adhering to traffic signs and road markings, such as areas where there is a prohibition on overtaking and entrances and exits to roads.
According to him, violations of necessary lane discipline are a key contributor to severe traffic accidents that occur inside the emirate of Abu Dhabi. This highlights the need of adhering to these laws in order to ensure the safety of drivers and passengers on the roads.

Traffic Highlights The Traffic and Patrols Directorate of the Abu Dhabi Police Department, in conjunction with the Security Media Department, made an announcement earlier this week regarding their intention to begin a series of 'Traffic Highlights' episodes on their various social media platforms beginning in the month of January.
The Director of the Traffic Violations Collection and Follow-up Department at the Traffic and Patrols Directorate, Colonel Dr. Eng. Musallam Mohammed Al Junaibi, underscored the alignment of the "Traffic Highlights" episodes, which are created and delivered by the officers of the directorate, with the strategic priorities of Abu Dhabi Police, specifically in the domain of "road security."
