The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) issued a call to action to businesses, urging them to safeguard the health and safety of their employees while they are commuting to and from these sites, as well as to comply with the criteria for occupational health and safety.
In a circular that was issued by the ministry, it was stated that "in light of the exceptional weather conditions that are forecasted for the UAE and in coordination with relevant authorities across the country, we advise private sector companies to take all necessary precautions and make sure that occupational health and safety requirements are met in order to ensure the safety of their workers during the anticipated period of weather fluctuations."
The document also stated, "Companies are required to comply with the directives issued by the relevant local authorities in each emirate regarding exceptional weather conditions and their impact on business operations."
