Dubai Airports has confirmed that the adverse weather conditions on Tuesday have disrupted ordinary operations at Dubai International Airport (DXB). As a result, there have been some delays in the arrival and departure of planes. This resulted in the cancellation of nine departure flights and eight inbound flights this morning. A spokeswoman for Dubai Airports released a statement stating that they rerouted three flights to nearby airports, and one of those planes has now returned to Dubai International Airport.

As a result of the severe rain, Flydubai decided to cancel certain flights.

Meanwhile, a Flydubai spokeswoman informed the media in a statement that the unfavorable weather conditions in the United Arab Emirates on April 16 affected the airline's flight schedule at Dubai International (DXB). "We have cancelled some flights as a result of this, and we are currently experiencing some delays," stated a spokeswoman for the airline regarding the situation.

We are making significant efforts to minimize any disruptions to our passengers' travel plans, and we are coordinating with all of the relevant parties at the airport. The spokesperson stated that we will continue to closely monitor the weather conditions and strongly advise our guests to allow extra time for their journey to the airport.

Flydubai's instructions to travelers after heavy rains in the Emirates.

In the aftermath of severe rains in the Emirates, Flydubai issued instructions to passengers.

It was requested by Flydubai that customers check their flight status online 48 hours and 75 minutes before the scheduled departure time from Dubai.

The check-in counter closes sixty minutes before the scheduled departure time of the aircraft, so passengers are strongly encouraged to arrive at the airport at least four hours before their flight is scheduled to depart. A representative for Flydubai stated that passengers can save time at the airport by using one of our new self-service kiosks located in Terminal 2. Passengers can use these kiosks to print their baggage tag, complete online check-in, and then proceed directly to the bag drop counter, specifically designated for this purpose.

On April 16, an Etihad Airways representative warned of the possibility of bad weather conditions, including heavy rainfall in Abu Dhabi (AUH), which could delay some flights.

In order to ensure that they have sufficient time to drive to the airport, guests are strongly encouraged to check the Etihad website on a frequent basis for the most up-to-date information regarding their flight departure. Etihad will closely assist patrons affected by any disruption in adjusting their itineraries and reaching their final destination.
