The UAE Cabinet provides 38,000 job opportunities in the private sector

Ghanam Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of the Emirates Competitiveness Council, stated that the council aims to have 38,000 citizens join the private sector in 2024, including the sectors supervised by the Central Bank, during its first meeting in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Reports also indicated that the sectors supervised by the Central Bank aim to employ approximately two thousand citizens, Last year, it was expected to provide 24,000 jobs for citizens, but with the help of the wise leadership, it exceeded expectations, and 41,800 male and female citizens were employed.

"Nafis" program:

Changing concepts and the culture of work in the private sector among citizens helped achieve such a qualitative shift, The Council implemented a number of initiatives in support of the “NAFES” program during the past year, which in turn aims to develop the efficiency of workers at the highest level and pursue their careers.

It also enhances employment opportunities and competitiveness for Emirati citizens, and as part of the “50 Projects”, it has a specific goal of creating broad job opportunities for Emiratis in the private sector over the next five years.

The country has made the program available to all Emirati citizens aged 18 years and above, and registration can be done by following the following steps:

The sources indicated that the “Nafes” program has included approximately 1,543 new private companies, and during the year 2024 the program registered 15,051 private companies currently working in various fields to offer multiple jobs to citizens through the program’s website so far, while it was expected that The number of companies at the beginning of this year was 13,508 companies.

The sources added that the second session of the "Nafes Award" was launched to honor distinguished individuals and establishments, and the honoring ceremony will be held during the second quarter of this year, The "Nafes Youth Council" was also launched to enhance communication between the program and the target audience, and the launch of the second phase of the "Nafes by your way" to review about 200 success stories of individuals, companies and society
