Modi, the Prime Minister of India, travels to Abu Dhabi, where India and the United Arab Emirates sign a number of agreements.

Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, arrived in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday to begin his official visit that will last for two days.

UAE and India sign various agreements

The Indian Prime Minister is now in the United Arab Emirates for the sixth time. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates, extended a warm welcome to Prime Minister Modi, who would be granted a ceremonial welcome at the Qasr Al Watan, also known as the Presidential Palace. Two-way discussions between the leaders are scheduled to take place after the reception.

In a tweet before heading for Abu Dhabi, Modi stated, "My visit to the United Arab Emirates will be my seventh since assuming office, indicating the priority we attach to strong friendship between India and the United Arab Emirates."

Vinay Kwatra, the Secretary of Foreign Affairs for India, highlighted the fact that a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding will be revealed following the meeting between the two presidents.

"Following the ceremonial welcome and reception at the Presidential Palace, the two leaders will sit down for a bilateral meeting, thereafter there would be an exchange of agreements and understandings after the discussions between the two leaders."

As a result of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which went into effect on May 1, 2022, the bilateral trade relationship between India and the United Arab Emirates has been reinforced. Currently, the value of the bilateral commerce is $85 billion.

At the 'Ahlan Modi' event that will take place at the Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi this evening, Modi will speak to thousands of Indians who are currently living outside of the country. The organizers of the event stated that the registrations had been closed due to the "overwhelming response" from the Indian community to listen to Modi's remarks.

The World Government Summit 2024 will take place in Dubai on Wednesday, and the Indian Prime Minister will be representing India at the event. During the summit, India will be the "guest of honor," along with Turkey and Qatar, and Modi will make a keynote talk at the event. His meeting with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, is scheduled to take place.

It is scheduled that Prime Minister Modi would open the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday evening. This temple is the first traditional Hindu sandstone temple in the Middle East.

Next, the Prime Minister will go on an official visit to Qatar, which will take place later.
