The Federal Traffic Council at the Ministry of Interior took the decision to cancel traffic violations incurred by citizens of the sisterly Sultanate of Oman during the period between 2018 and 2023.
The sources explained that the decision was taken in accordance with the good fraternal initiative launched by the UAE under the directives of its wise leadership, which reflects the Ministry’s commitment to implementing and supporting initiatives and decisions that benefit the public and common interest, and to strengthen close fraternal ties, aiming to raise levels of traffic safety and improve traffic safety quality of life in the UAE.
The sources indicated that the Ministries of the Interior of the United Arab Emirates and the sister Sultanate of Oman have begun implementing the bilateral linkage project for traffic systems on the ground, through continuous coordination and cooperation between the two sides. It is a technical project that enhances the joint integrative work between the Cooperation Council for the Arab Gulf States.

Investment partnerships between Oman and the UAE estimated at $35 billion:
The UAE and the Sultanate of Oman have concluded investment partnerships worth 129 billion dirhams ($35.12 billion), to enhance cooperation in multiple sectors including investment, renewable energy, railways, technology, renewable energy projects and green minerals. The two countries’ ministries of investment also signed a number of investment contracts in Digital infrastructure sector.
The sources reported that a partnership contract was signed for an industry and energy project worth 117 billion dirhams ($31.8 billion), which includes renewable energy and energy production projects, including wind and solar energy projects, in addition to green metal factories, which was signed by the Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (Taqa), Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar), Emirates Global Aluminum (EGA), Emirates Arkan Steel (ESA), OQ Omani Alternative Energy Company, and Oman Electricity Transmission Company.
