In recognition of students' and graduates' efforts, the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship in the United Arab Emirates issued an important and urgent decision to grant golden residency to the first graduates of Emirati schools and universities for the year 2023, based on recent directives of the wise leadership represented by the President of the State, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum."

Outstanding pupils are granted a golden residence permit

The UAE's Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security has issued a five-year golden resident permit to pupils with a high school diploma of 95% or more. The visa advantages also encompass their family members, according to the list of acceptable nominations provided to the authority by the Emirates Foundation for School Education.

The Authority also awards a golden residence permit to students from local and international universities who graduate with honors and a cumulative average of no less than 3.5 or 3.75, depending on the classification permitted for universities inside and outside the country.

Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, His Excellency the Authority's Director General, confirmed that granting golden residency to the first students graduating from Emirati schools and universities this year confirms the direction and approach of the UAE's wise leadership in the field of evaluating competencies and promising scientific talents, attracting them to study and work in the country, and providing them with the opportunity to contribute to the country's development. His Excellency Major General Director General of the Authority explained that the conditions for obtaining a golden residence permit for outstanding students in the high school certificate include obtaining a high school certificate from a public or private school licensed by the Ministry or the competent local educational authorities, and that the student's percentage in high school must not be less than 95%, as well as certificate approval from the Ministry.
