These are the requirements for acquiring a visa for a short-term stay in the United Arab Emirates.
Additionally, the GDRFA website listed the rules and restrictions for the short-term visit visa.
1. The passenger shall not be subjected to any restrictions that would prevent him or her from entering the United Arab Emirates.
2. There is a minimum of six months of validity remaining on the passport or other travel document.
3. He or she must hold a visa or green card with a validity period of at least six months, issued by the proper authorities in the United States.
4. He or she must have a resident visa with a validity period of at least six months, issued by the appropriate authorities in the United Kingdom or in countries that are members of the European Union.

Emirates Airlines has stated that it will provide customers with the ability to obtain a visa upon arrival.

VFS Global owns and operates the Dubai Visa Processing Centre (DVPC), which Emirates Airline has designated to handle visas for the United Arab Emirates, processing the application.
